So I finished up one movie I started watching last weekend on sunday, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, amidst but you have seen this movie more than once. It is a fun movie, positive energy, friendships and just going out to do something new despite your fears. But the part of the movie that I will like to talk about is one of the main characters, Arjun, a stock market shark, who has a plan to work his butt off and retire early. That is a good plan. The bad thing about the plan is that he was so focused on his goal, he wasn't living life. He lost relationships, strained friendships and only lived for making that money so he will achieve that dream. He was putting other aspects of his life on hold till he got what he is aiming for. Eventually, he had a turn around,
Most of us are guilty of this, me included. I always tell myself:
I will not do this right now, till I get that;
I won't travel till my kids are grown;
I won't get in the pool till I have lost weight;
I won't start working on my dreams till everything is set;
It shouldn't be so.
While waiting to achieve the big goal, work on the small ones.
Live life.
Instead of
I won't travel till my kids are grown, I will take short trips instead.
That extra weight shouldn't stop me from having fun in the pool with my kids.
Remember the big goals but don't also forget to live.
I love holidays official or unofficial; Today is National Sons and daughters day. For those of us with kids, spend sometime with them today. Let them know you are happy they are in your life.
E-eehen! So you like Bollywood also? I thought I was the only one in blogsville oo! AHAHAHA. #teasing#
ReplyDeleteBut 2 days abi 2 weekends to watch one film finish? #sideeyes# ahaha.
I love Indian films! The colours, choreography and songs.
I will watch this movie today. Lemme copy the name o..
I like the moral of the story already, it fits the parable that says, if the farmer continues to wait for rain to fall, before he sows, he will not get any harvest. So we all have to take risk and leap of faith to do things.
Some things go hand in hand or run concurrently, while some must be done alone! Like schooling, get your education while young, then a job. One can marry, start having children, while seeking for better paying job and still further their education to get 2nd to 3rd degree.
Still enjoying your summer?
My sister how can it be only you now? I agree with you on the colors and songs and dance but I totally enjoy even those ones that don't have any songs. You will enjoy this movie if you like the new school type. I can't finish one movie at a sitting o, my people will not allow me, so sometimes I start during the day and finish at night. And yes, I agree there is time for everything and there are some goals you can achieve concurrently.
Deleteahahhaha, I think so, o.
DeleteYes, it is a contemporary Indian movie, and very interesting. When I typed in the movie, I realized I have watched it before, but I still watched it the second time, because it is very interesting and I do like all the movies the main Character acts in.
I love Indian movies as well, l got my hubby hooked on watching them. lol My friends watch them with me too and think am crazy, but they love it for it's color, dance, variety and wonderful dishes. I think would have been half Indian in my next life. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog Destiny. Lucky you, your husband is hooked too. I bet you also join him to watch the kind of movies he enjoys. LOL @ you being half indian, I am sure I was indian in past lives, if there is anything like that.
DeleteAHAHAHA, same here Destiny. i got my hubby hooked! Sometimes we watch together as a form of relaxation.
DeleteYes, body guard and pride & prejudice are very interesting. Infact, I will watch it again in Netflix this weekend.
Have a lovely weekend both of you.
I think you would like this indian movie called the body guard and also pride and prejudice indian movie. Good movies on netflix
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendations. I have seen those movies. They have great movies on Netflix.
DeleteInteresting lesson you picked from the movie. I don't watch Indian movies though. I watched My name is Khan early this year, and I just couldn't bring myself to delete it. That movie really preached to me o, lol.
ReplyDeleteModern Day Religious Manipulations
I love My name is Khan too. It had a very strong message.
Deleteblessings.......
ReplyDeletecut my teeth on the stuff, grew up watching them.
LOL. Thanks for stopping by Rhapsody
DeleteI grew up watching Indian movies too, but now I don't have the patience for them. It's three hours of songs, dance and action that sometimes makes me wonder if the same message could have been delivered in 73 minutes?
ReplyDeleteI feel you on the post-poning life stuff. New month resolution formed.
Thanks for stopping by Mojisola. Indian movies are very long and yes you need a bit of patience to watch them, that's why I can't finish watching a movie one time. Yes 73 minutes or even less will be enough to pass on the message but the music, dance and sometimes unnecessary action is what gives it the charm.
